Dr Victoria Sanders
Dr. Victoria Sanders, LMFT 52610, Phd is a therapist with more than 15 years experience working with children who have come from trauma, their families, as well as law enforcement and their families. Victoria is particularly passionate about working with fostered and adopted children and their families. Victoria is passionate about helping others, and supporting families in being successful, happy, and positive in their life. Victoria is also the CEO and Founder of VMS Family Counseling Services but continues to provide services to children and families because it is her heart, that is her passion and her love for providing treatment and support to others is too great for her to walk away from.

Tyler Diaz
Tyler Diaz, LMFT 86361 is a therapist with more than 11 years experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. Tyler works with individual’s and families who are experiencing a variety of struggles, including depression, anxiety, inter-familial conflict, and life stress related issues. Tyler is passionate about supporting law enforcement officers, and their families, and ensuring that all of those who she supports and works with are able to be successful in all that they do.

Alejandra Torres
Alex Torres is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #131175 and is directly supervised by Tyler Diaz, LMFT #86361. As a 16 year veteran in mental health and counseling, Alex has worked with the incarcerated and parole population through substance abuse treatment facilities, at risk youth in school settings, and Foster Parents. Alex has profound experience facilitating groups, one to one counseling and trauma education. Alex has worked with youth and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and addiction. Alex is fluent in Spanish which has allowed her to reach the Spanish speaking community and share her tools and techniques to rural communities. Her own life journey of overcoming adversity has fueled her innate passion for helping others discover hope and restoration.

Ashley Harris
Ashley Harris is the VMS Office Manager and has been with the organization for more than nine years, and is the literal glue that holds the team together. She handles all billing and scheduling issues, she is the go to person for any questions that both client’s and staff have. Her quiet, thoughtful, and attention to detail ensures that all people feel as though they are able to ask for help and support when needed.

Brettina Ashworth
Brettina Ashworth is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is supervised by Victoria Sanders, LMFT #52610. Brettina has worked in the school systems and especially loves working with teens. She finds every age group has something interesting about it and has experience working with a variety of age groups ranging from children to adults. Brettina is passionate about making each client feel welcome, safe and most importantly, listened to.

Melissa Avina
Melissa Avina is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #131010 and is directly supervised by Victoria Sanders, LMFT #52610. Melissa earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminology and M.S. in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Service Credential at California State University, Fresno.
As a graduate student Melissa worked at Fresno Family Counseling Center. During her time at FFCC Melissa gained experience providing treatment to individual adults and children, couples, families, groups for anger management and co-parenting, and through a partnership with Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission provided treatment to the youth homeless population.
Melissa is passionate about the therapeutic journey as she understands what it is to be on the other end of therapy herself. She strives to provide an environment and journey that promotes self-awareness, empathy, and healing. Melissa has a passion working with individual adults and adolescents dealing with trauma, anxiety, stress, and unhealthy attachment styles as well as with couples dealing with infidelity or communication issues.

Jaskirn Johal-Dhillon
Jaskirn is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist # 127178, directly supervised by Victoria Sanders, LMFT. Jaskirn is passionate about helping others from diverse backgrounds. Each individual has a story to share and creating an environment where it's safe with empathy and compassion is what she strives to provide. Jaskirn has experience working with individuals, children, adolescents, couples, families, homeless population, psychoeducation groups (Anger management and Co-parenting). Jaskirn is also fluent in Punjabi and hopes to advocate on the significance of mental health and provide services within her community who are underrepresented.
